Meeting Program: Habitat for Humanity, Amy Adams |

Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based non-profit organization that is ecumenical in nature, assisting, employing and accepting volunteers from all backgrounds, creeds, nationalities and religious affiliations. Habitat provides the opportunity of home ownership for hard working families with a demonstrated need.
Habitat does not give away houses, but rather provides a self-help program to families doing everything they can that still cannot qualify for affordable housing. Homes are not a “hand out” but a “hand up.”
Executive Director Amy Rogers came to Habitat for Humanity Mesa County in August of 2009. Amy brings her business acumen from the banking world, where she worked in Treasury Services at a locally owned bank. Her easy communication style is a result of 20 successful years of business to business sales.
Amy is part of this amazing organization at an unprecedented time where Habitat for Humanity will be breaking ground on a 52 Home development this month, for families in need. Please welcome her to our Rotary today.

Meeting Program: Rotaract Club, Amy Case |

True to the original source of their name, the young professionals of the Grand Junction Rotaract Club strive to exemplify the principle of "Rotary in Action." In this week’s program, they will tell you who they are, what they are doing, and what opportunities exist to partner with these future Rotarians as they practice "service above self" and build a community of volunteers, one young professional at a time.
Chartered in 2007, the Grand Junction Rotaract Club has experienced rapid growth and last year received their first Presidential Citation. Additional credits to the club include the completion of a highly successful international project, an independent fundraiser for local non -profit causes, and repeatedly partnering with their sponsor, the Grand Junction Rotary club on fundraising events and drives such as Masquerade Ball, Polio Plus, and ShelterBox. We’re proud of the leadership skills and commitment to volunteerism of our members, and are pleased to introduce to you our President, Amy Case, who will introduce the entire Board.
